VCB PANEL
RuncoN VCB Panel (Vacuum Circuit Breaker Panel) is a high-voltage switchgear panel that uses a Vacuum Circuit Breaker (VCB) to protect and control electrical systems.
What It Does
- Switch ON/OFF electrical circuits
- Interrupt fault currents (short circuit, overload)
- Protect transformers, motors, and feeders
Working Principle
The VCB operates using vacuum as the arc quenching medium. When contacts open, an arc forms. In vacuum, there is no ionized medium, so the arc extinguishes quickly, making interruption fast and efficient.
Step-by-Step Working
- Normal Condition: Breaker is closed and current flows normally.
- Fault Occurs: Overcurrent or short circuit is detected by the relay.
- Tripping: Protection relay sends a signal to the VCB.
- Arc Interruption: Contacts open and the arc is extinguished in vacuum.
- Isolation: Faulty section is disconnected safely.
