AUTOMATIC PHASE SEQUENCE CORRECTOR PANEL
RuncoN Phase Sequence Corrector Panel is a specialized electrical panel designed to detect and correct the phase sequence of a three-phase power supply. Proper phase sequence is critical for the safe and efficient operation of three-phase equipment like motors, pumps, and compressors. If the sequence is incorrect, it can cause motors to run in reverse, leading to operational issues or damage.
Main Components
- Phase Sequence Relay: Detects the sequence (R-Y-B) of the incoming supply and identifies any phase reversal.
- Correction Mechanism: Employs automatic or manual switching of phases to restore the correct sequence.
- Contactors or Relays: Perform the actual switching to correct the sequence.
- Indication and Alarms: Visual (LED) or audible alarms indicate phase sequence errors or loss of phase.
- Overload and Short-Circuit Protection: Protects the panel and connected equipment from faults.
- Control Transformer: Provides low-voltage control signals for relays and indicators.
Working Principle
- Detection: The phase sequence relay continuously monitors the incoming three-phase supply.
- Correction: If an incorrect sequence or phase failure is detected, the panel initiates the corrective action by switching the phases to restore the correct sequence.
- Restoration: Once the sequence is corrected, the system allows power to flow to the load.
