MCC PANEL
RuncoN Motor Control Center (MCC) Panel is an assembly designed to control, manage, and protect multiple electric motors in a centralized location. These panels are widely used in industrial and commercial applications where numerous motors are operated.
Main Components
- Circuit Breakers or Fuses: Protect motors from overcurrent and short circuits.
- Contactors: Control the starting and stopping of motors.
- Overload Relays: Protect motors from overheating due to overload conditions.
- Soft Starters (Optional): Reduce inrush current during motor startup.
- Variable Frequency Drives / VFDs (Optional): Provide speed control for motors.
- Control Transformers: Provide low voltage for control circuits.
- Push Buttons and Selector Switches: Manual control interfaces.
- Indicator Lamps and Meters: Provide operational status and measurements.
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs): For automation and integration into larger systems.
Construction
- Enclosure: Made of sheet metal or stainless steel. Available in various IP ratings (e.g., IP54, IP65) for protection against dust, water, and other environmental factors.
- Sections or Compartments: Each motor or motor group has its dedicated compartment or module for ease of maintenance.
- Busbars: Distribute power to individual motor feeders within the panel.
- Wiring and Terminals: Organized for easy troubleshooting and future expansions.
