1. Main Components

Phase Sequence Relay

2. Working Principle

Detection
The phase sequence relay continuously monitors the incoming three-phase power supply, checking for the correct R-Y-B sequence and detecting any phase reversal, single phasing, or voltage imbalance.

Correction
If an incorrect phase sequence or phase failure is detected, the panel immediately initiates corrective action by switching the phases via contactors to restore the correct sequence, while triggering visual and audible alarms.

Restoration
Once the correct phase sequence is confirmed and restored, the system automatically allows power to flow to the connected load — ensuring motors, pumps, and compressors resume operation in the correct direction.
